Yesterday I went to replenish my dwindling stash of vintage music sheets from a local house clearance place I stumbled across by chance a couple of weeks ago. While I was there, one of the owners asked if I played the violin (hence the reason for buying the sheet). Unfortunately my talents dont stretch that far (!!!) so I told her what I use the sheets for. She asked me to bring some of my items down to her shop as the BBC are coming to film the place next week for a documentary on antiques and she would like them to adorn her front window with! So, I whipped up a few of my infamous cones and am going to drop them off there tomorrow to display in her shop window. Fingers crossed they make prime time tv in the near future!!! I made lots more for my craft fair while I was at it and photographed them this morning for all to see! They will be available to purchase from Friday 28th May from my website and my Etsy shop!

Wedding Blog Features!
This week I came across some fantastic wedding blogs, whose content and style I felt reflected the my work in different ways. I decided to contact them to see if they would be interested in showcasing any of my products to their different audiences of brides-to-be and was so pleased to receive positive replies! I thought I would share the articles that they wrote on Vintage Twee with you as they are so lovely and I felt they truly captured the essence of my work and what I represent.
Love My Dress - "Love My Dress is the UK Wedding Blog and Style Diary for discerning Brides-to-be and fashionistas seeking inspiration on all things glamorous, vintage and extremely very gorgeous.". I thought this site was fantastic and would be a perfect place to seek out brides who love all things vintage. Annabel has been so kind to write a very in depth article on many of my products - have a look at it on her homepage here: http://www.lovemydress.net/blog/2010/05/vintage-twee-vintage-wedding-favours-table-decor.html#more
Little Miss Wedding - "For people who are looking for something ’boutique’, unusual, fantastic or ridiculous – Little Miss Wedding strives to give you ideas and inspiration, and reviews of top UK wedding suppliers". This website is really beautiful and it showcases "British wedding photographers, designers, and creators of everything lovely" - so I had to ask. Emmie has written a fantastic article on Vintage Twee - visit her site here: http://www.littlemisswedding.co.uk/accessories/vintage-twee-gorgeous-handmade-vintage-favours/
A big thank you to Annabel and Emmie for the features! I have an upcoming feature also with http://www.english-wedding.com/ whose style again captures another different aspect of my work. Check back for a link to this soon. Happy reading!

'Afternoon Twee' Gift Hampers
Today I have been creating items for a forthcoming craft show I will be attending on 29-31st May at Gawsworth Hall in Macclesfield. I decided to make up a hamper containing a few of my tea related items, which I thought would make a lovely gift for someone special!
Each hamper contains a set of my Afternoon Tea Recipe cards with traditional recipes for 'Scrumptious Sandwiches' and 'Classic High Tea Cakes', a decorative tea bag holder complete with tea bag, a teapot gift box filled with dolly mixtures and a pack of my 'Eat Me' Party Picks, perfect for picnic food.
The hampers are also decorated inside with vintage lace and flowers. They will be going on sale on my Etsy shop on Wednesday 19th May for just £15.00. I can custom make these on request so please email me if you would like one making up!

New! Popcorn Cone Favours
This week I have been working on some new items to add to my Etsy shop! Have a look at these cute popcorn cones, ideal as favours for a retro wedding or for children's birthday parties! They are heart shaped and made from beautiful decorative paper which can be customized to your preferred colour. They can also be personalized with your child/guest's name on the front instead of the word 'popcorn' and be used to fill with sweets of your choice! These cones will be available on my Etsy shop on Friday 14th May. If you like what you see of course, you can contact me anytime :)

Country Homes and Interiors
Today I received an email from Rhoda Parry, editor of Country Homes and Interiors magazine, who I contacted in hope they would be able to do a feature on my products. Rhoda let me know that she has written an entry on her blog all about Vintage Twee! Her colleague also informed me that my Alice in Wonderland party picks are going to be featured in a picnic shoot for an upcoming edition of Country Homes and Interiors! Very exciting news and Im really grateful for their support and interest in my things. Thank you!
